So sorry Joycelyn. Iโve tried to teach my kids since they were little not to fear death unless their heart is not right with God. That they are just a sleep, waiting for Jesus to wake them up.
I love this so much! Its the constant battle of missing them, but having the complete confidence that they are at peace and we will see them again. ๐
Iโm sorry for your loss. I just lost a dear friend who was also a pastor and a mentor. It hurts to lose someone especially someone you know was a believer but it is a contradiction sometimes because we know that they are now with the Father so it shouldnโt feel so bad.
Thank you, I'm so sorry for your loss too. It indeed can be quite conflicting.
And the Holy Spirit helps us to stand between two realities, the ache of separation and the hope of reunion.
Earth feels the weight of loss while heaven rejoices in completion, and in that space, God meets us, not asking us to choose between grief or faith, but inviting us to carry both.
It's comforting to know that mourning here does not diminish the glory there, and heavenโs joy does not invalidate our tears.
Iโm so sorry for your loss. May the Lord draw near to you in this season and comfort you in the way only He can. May His peace surround you, and may His presence be especially close as you grieve and remember your dear brother. ๐๐ผโค๏ธ
Mourning can be healing. Iโm reminded that even though Jesus knew He was going to glory with the Father, He still wept. He certainly wept for His disciples and all of us who would be left to navigate in this sinful world, and less so for himself.
Grieving is an important part of our expression of love for our loved ones gone to glory. Iโm praying that in time God replaces your mourning with the oil of joy found in the memories you have with your dear brother!!! ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ
Amen thank you so much. Yes Jesus is such perfect example, and Hebrews 4:15 Is so comforting โFor we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin.โ
He too has experienced what we go through and understands the grief of loss.
